Our "Unique Package" takes you on an unforgettable journey along the entire Göta Canal, from Vänern to the Baltic Sea. The cycling holiday starts in charming Töreboda and ends in picturesque Söderköping and Mem, where the canal meets the Baltic Sea. During the journey, you follow the car-free towpath along the entire Göta Kanal, and you will pass a total of 58 impressive locks in this 200-year-old engineering masterpiece.

DAY 1
Töreboda – Sjötorp – Töreboda (40 km cycling)
Your journey begins in Töreboda, a perfect starting point if you arrive by train. On your first day, you cycle along the car-free roads along the Göta canal and pass an impressive 19 locks on your way to Sjötorp by Vänern. After this, you return to Töreboda and check into Pensionat Prästgården's cozy hotel. The evening ends with a delicious dinner at Prästgården's Garden Café, where you can enjoy the garden on a summer evening.
– Terrain: The cycle path is a small dirt road next to the Göta canal and is completely car-free. Very easy cycling
- Today's tips: If you haven't had lunch along the way, you have several restaurants in Sjötorp that you can choose from. Café Baltzar, Restaurant kajutan, Maltes fisk & Perssons i backen.

DAY 2
Töreboda – Karlsborg (55 km cycling)
After a lovely breakfast at Pensionat Prästgården, you set off for today's destination – Karlsborg vid Vättern. You cycle along Göta canal, past Lanthöjden, an island that arose from a digging mistake, and then continue to Tåtorp by lake Viken. Here you will find one of the two hand-operated locks along the Göta canal. Your bike ride takes you through winding roads around Lake Viken before you reach Forsvik, Sweden's first industrial town. Then continue towards Karlsborg, a city with historical significance that was once Sweden's reserve capital. You check in at Hotell Rödesund, which is located near the famous Karlsborg fortress. If you have time to spare, we recommend a guided tour of the fortress.
– Terrain: The cycle route today is easy along the Göta canal, but around Lake Viken there are some hills. After lake Viken to Karlsborg, it is easy cycling on paved roads.
- Today's tips: Eat your packed lunch in Beateberg, here you have a fantastic view of Lake Viken

DAY 3
Karlsborg – Motala – Borensberg – Bergs slussar- Ljungsbro (Transport around lake Vättern + M/S Kung Sverker, cycle tour 25 km)
Today it is a shorter bike ride with car transport around Lake Vättern to Motala. Board M/S Kung Sverker in Motala harbor at 10.30am, relax on deck and enjoy lunch on board as you glide through the beautiful scenery. At 12.30 you reach Borensberg, where you can explore Östergötland's only manually operated lock. Afterwards, hop on your bike and pedal along the charming towpath along the Göta canal. On the way you pass locks and viaducts and get a unique view of cars driving under the canal. The cycle tour takes you through the multifaceted East Gothic landscape, with breathtaking views and historical stories. Stay overnight at Ljungsbro leisure center and enjoy dinner at Bergs Slussar, which is 3 km from Ljungsbro.

DAY 4
Ljungsbro – Bergs slussar – Norsholm – Söderköping, bike ride 65 km)
At Berg's locks, your journey continues along the Göta canal.
The cycling holiday then continues along the Göta canal and across the lake Asplången before you reach the charming city of Söderköping. New for this year is the opportunity to take the cycle boat across lake Asplången, a comfortable and exciting experience. In Söderköping, you can explore the cobbled streets that were used as a filming location for Astrid Lindgren's "Madicken". End the day with dinner and an overnight stay at the historic Hotel Söderköpings Brunn
- Today's tips: you can choose between cycling around Lake Roxen approx. 40 km. or to take the boat across Lake Roxen. The boat trip takes 45 minutes.
– Terrain: If you cycle around Lake Roxen, the road is hilly and the cycle path goes on small forest roads at times. the rest of the cycle tour is easy cycling right next to the Göta canal on their cycle path.

DAY 5
Söderköping – Mem – Söderköping (bike ride 12 km)
To fully experience the Göta canal, we recommend a short bike ride of 6 km to Mem at Slätbaken and back. Here the canal reaches the Baltic Sea, and you will enjoy an idyllic bike ride along car-free roads with the canal as your constant companion and boats slowly gliding by in the background. You can also end your journey with a guided tour on a small locomotive from the Travel Centre. Film lovers will recognize the town as the filming location for Astrid Lindgren's films about Madicken. When your trip is over, you can take buses or trains back to Töreboda or your hometown.
